AUTHOR’S NOTES

This may be heresy to declare on the Internet, but until the release of The Force Awakens, I was never much of a Star Wars fan. I never watched any of the films (prequels or originals) as a kid, and so, when I finally tried to watch A New Hope as a teenager, with no context of the film’s history or fandom, I found it thoroughly meh. It was only when I watched TFA that I finally understood what the world of Star Wars was all about, and why people all over the globe love the many stories that happen in a galaxy far, far away. I immediately went back and watched the original trilogy (and consequently loved it), as well as devouring all of the animations, podcasts, novels and comics that I could get my scavenger hands on. Now, I’m always eager to be involved with anything to do with Star Wars!

(Because I feel like it’s a necessity when talking about Star Wars, my favourite films are The Empire Strikes Back and Rogue One. Pew pew!)
